Jungkook is nicknamed golden Maknea. Maknea means the youngest member in a family or a group of people. His brothers give him this nickname because he has surprisingly advanced and outstanding skills in many things, such as dancing, singing, rap, sports and playing video games.

Coming to Seoul alone at the age of fifteen, he was shy and full of uncertainty about the future. He participated in the competition show “Super Star K 3.” However, he was eliminated before he could appear on TV. Even though so, his attractive comforting voice attracted seven entertainment companies to invite him for further audition.

Some of those companies were richer and bigger than BigHit Entertainment. Therefore, after visiting the other six companies, Jungkook went to BigHit Entertainment and decided to give this tiny company a try. As he entered the company, he saw RM, who later became the leader of BTS, practicing. Fascinated by RM, he immediately decided to join the company.

During days of being a trainee, Jungkook recalled that he basically didn’t suffer much for limitless practicing; yet, his distress arrived after debuted. After their debut, he understood how well-trained other idols or artists were. He doubted himself and the entire team. Be captured in bottomless insurance, he wanted to leave the team and become a professional dancer. Jimin as an elder brother, reminded him how much hardship they had already overcome. It was only with a team that could make everything worked.

Realizing that teamwork was the key to success and how much his brothers loved him, he made the decision to stay and worked harder than ever.
