Kim Seok Jin is known by his stage name, Jin. He is the oldest member in BTS. He was born in December 4th, 1992. At first, he wanted to become an actor. Therefore, he attended Konkuk University. Before he graduated, he was scouted on the street by Bighit Entertainment. Later, he decided to give up acting and joined BTS.

However, life wasn’t easy for him after this decision. Other trainees had their own talent. Some started dancing since they were three, other knew how to rap or sing well. Jin knew nothing. Also, it was actually too late for a person to start learning dancing when he or she was already eighteen. Even though he successfully debuted, things weren’t becoming better. He was said to be talentless for both singing and dancing.

In the beginning, his part in a song was the least among all the members. He was forced to sing very low notes which didn’t fit his voice. He was usually dancing behind other members. He was not obvious on stage. Still, he didn’t give up improving.

Finally, he had a chance to show who he really was. Every member of BTS had a solo song in the album”Wings.” His song was called, “Awake.” Differ from every other songs before, this song revealed really deep feelings of him.

After this song, A.R.M.Y and other people started to understand Jin more. He seemed to find his specialty. He can show the feelings in songs that no one else can in BTS. He never reveal his feelings in front of camera, but people can feel his deep sorrow through songs.
